The Short Term Liquidity Facility ("STLF") is a lending facility that provides short-term loans to micro-finance intermediaries ("MFIs") to help them cope with unexpected liquidity requirements. While the primary initial focus will be Latin America and the Caribbean, the facility will also consider support to MFIs in other regions on an exceptional basis.

The STLF is managed by OMTRIX, a private company headquartered in Costa Rica that provides management services to ProFund and the Emergency Liquidity Facility, among other activities (www.omtrixinc.com). Initial financing for the STLF is provided by the Gray Ghost Microfinance Fund, a for-profit microfinance investor based in Atlanta, USA.
